Specializing in marketing and communication for the clinical trial research program at BRI, David is the research program community liaison. A tenor in the Seattle Men’s quire, he is a performing artist in Pacific NW productions.

Joy Cameron

Certified Health Coach from Institute for Integrative Nutrition specializing in Autoimmune Disorders. Joy has a BA in Human development, and MA in Special Education from Azusa Pacific University. Diagnosed in 2010 with Systemic Lupus Eyrthematosus and Sjogren’s Syndrome, and 2015 with Hashimoto’s. Previously served on the Lupus Pacific Northwest Board of Directors. Joy is the National Title holder for Mrs. US Continental, 2015.

Annie Holt

Annie Holt, Co-Founder of the Autoimmune Advocacy Alliance is a policy expert. A 22 year employee of Pfizer managing Advocacy Relations for Washington State, Annie graduated the University of Washington with a degree in Phycology and Bio Science.

Cheryl Lubbert

With more than 20 years of management and commercial development, Cheryl is the President and CEO of Health Perspectives Group (HPG) parent company to Health Advocacy Strategies, Patient Health Perspectives and Health Stories Project. Previously she headed the US Immunology division at Abbott with responsibility for HUMIRA. Her background in pharmacology included sales and marketing responsibilities with Bristol-Myers Squibb, Immunex and Amgen.

Kathleen Newbould

Kathleen Newbould manages education and support programs for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Northwest Chapter. Kathleen is a Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in Communication and is currently receiving her Master of Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University. Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 11, Kathleen experiences day to day how autoimmune disease can affect every aspect of life.

Peter Newbould

Peter has served on the A3 Board since 2013. He brings three decades of experience in health care policy experience in public and private sectors. The Public Policy Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association Washington chapter, he previously was a lobbyist for the American Psychological Association and served as a chief of staff to two members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Peter received a B.A. in political science from Lynchburg College.

Judith Rising

The Co-Founder of A3; educated at the Bush School and the University of Washington with dual interest in communication and marketing. As a business owner and marketing specialist, following the death of her son Patrick from autoimmune ITP, she founded Pat’s Fund and began a study of autoimmunity. A past Board member of Benaroya Research Institute and Trustee for National MS Society; Greater NW Chapter, she is married with 5 children one who lives with multiple sclerosis. She works to increase awareness of autoimmune disease.

Richard Rising

Rising graduated the University of Washington with a BA in Forestry. With long career in forest product management, he completed 30 years U.S. Naval Reserve service as a Captain. Previously president of the Kirkland COC, in retirement, he currently serves on the Pat’s Fund and Autoimmune Advocacy Alliance Boards of Directors.
